What is the best value way to do this trip on business class? I've looked at Emerates (£1800) which seem good but have heard some horror stroies about the stopover in Dubai!
Or I could take BA to Singapore for £1999 and get either Air Asia, MAS, or Sinapore Air?
Im paranoid about not getting a window seat ii)
Can anyone offer some advice?
Many thanks

What exactly is your criteria? Do you want the cheapest? Or do you also want a good flat bed? Do you mind a wait inbetween connections or do you want to get there quickly?
I'd rate SQ then BA tops for both bed and service. MAZ have a good product but the bed isnt fully flat in J, its angled, and I cant sleep properly in those style of beds but their service is very good and you can fly direct to KUL.

Im looking for the cheapest but not something which is awful (around £2000).
SQ is too expensive so BA might be an option but £60 to reserve a seat and strike concerns (Im flying from 24 July - 4 Aug).
However I'm looking forward to go into the T5 lounge and make use of the arrivals lounge.

Depends, as HF says, are you after lowest price, best service, miles and tier points or quickest jonrney.
Yes it is a disgrace to have to pay £60 to reserve a seat it may be worth you biting the bullet if you are adamant you need a window seat. either that ot get to OLCI as soon as it opens.
For the cheapest have a look at
http://www.fly.com or the other scraper sites who seam to be able to gather a range of flights and options

AirAsia X are now offering lie flat seats on some of their services out of STN that fly direct to KUL; apparently they will advise at the time of booking whether the scheduled aircraft has the seats. Plugging in some random dates has return fares coming up at £1800 return (£1400 cheaper than MAS).
They are, of course, an LCC so that may not be in their favour, but if price, flat bed and no stopover are you major requirements...

Have you looked at QR or EY? cant remember off the top of my head if they service KUL. 9W or IT might be worth a try as well, and of course there is TK, who seem to be really trying to hammer home the whole connect through IST thing lately.

What do all those codes stand for?
Im looking not for a low-cost airline but one with a really good service and quality seat thats around my budget of £2000. I dont mind 1 stopover and im not concerned about airmiles.
I looked at travelup and they quoted me online £2226 for an Emirates first class flight direct to KUL!

Maybe Pete and the Mods could consider having a list in the Toolbox section?

Malaysia Airlines has a special offer direct from AMS-KUL for £1600 in business class for your dates of travel. Just purchase a cheap LON-AMS return ticket with the £110 you'll be saving in Air Passenger Duty. AMS has one of the lowest departure taxes in Europe since the government abolished the Dutch equivalent of APD.
MAS is also a Flying Club partner.
