I am still trying to figure this one out, Sun Country only has 737-7'sand 737-8's, so there has to be a stop on the way.

When I was flying Maxjet I didn't mind using STN, however the same problem will hit this route. How much is DL charging to fly into LHR from the Twin cities ?

This blog covered the route as well - so yes, does seem confusing unless it is tour business.

(it's an interesting blog generally BTW, if a bit US-centric, for anyone who's not come across it.)

This was announced a while back and caused a bit of Hohar over on a.net as it was leaked before it was announced causing a very unhappy airline.

It is indeed one of the most random route openings of late. I would imagine there has to be some sort of tour operator involved although it is for sale on the sun county website with no mention of a tour operator.

Reminds me I see that GOL of brazil are starting a GRU-MCO service using a 738 also!another random route for the 738.

If a Tour Operator is involved, what is the draw for that part of the Country ?|

I remember years back, when Northwest Airlaines ran the route from London and captured some traffic due to low costs (and there was limited US Competition at that time) - but nowdays :?

Sun country does a lot of tour work for Apple Vacations, a major tour company over here.
