Like it says. Here are Mr DL and I awaiting our trip in Emirates First on the A380 (suites 1A and 2A :D ). I have to confess not being too impressed so far - the limo driver approached the only other couple in the hotel reception and asked if them if they were travelling with Emirates as he had come to collect them. "Yes" says the mature and well turned out female -unfortunately for them they were travelling in economy so no cigar. Mr DL and I obviously don't look like premium passengers so we alerted him to his mistake and he had the grace to look a trite embaressed.
Check in was a farce- there are only a max of 8 First passengers a flight and First check in was cluttered with a family of 6 (the parents of whom were flying in Business). We were eventually moved to a business check in where they had no First baggage tags and the agent had to walk down to the First desk to get some v( .
Anyway we are now in the (self -service) lounge which is really noisy - hoping for better things on board :)

Oh dear !

Not a good start but hope things improve once on board !

Hope Mr DLs eyebrows are still in the tamed state they left LHR in !

I don't see that lack of "maturity" ;) should count against you, as you were undoubtedly as well turned out.

Greener grass and all that..particularly poor for a First product. Were they actually in First or just being dealt with at the desk?

I'm not exactly a spring chicken myself ): and we were both in standard comfy travelling attire (jeans for Mr DL and black jeans for me). The parents were in economy too -I had thought they were in business but the parents gained lounge access with the father's EK gold card(leaving the kids out with the hoi polloi). I'm very happy to report that things improved hugely from this point on and I can only class the flight as 5* in every respect :D :D .
