BAA have installed a ping pong table in the Departures Lounge of T3 at Heathrow to try and get people to do a little bit of sport before the olympics.

I'll have to look out for it next time I'm walking through T3 - I missed it a few days ago.

Great idea for kids especially, but there doesn't seem to be any plan to keep it on if it is a success?

This is a London wide initiative from an arts project - Sing / Ping London - *not* a BAA project and follows on from last year's Street Pianos project. There was one rickety old upright at the St Pauls end of the Millenium Bridge that people gathered around...
Credit where credit is due...

They have permanent ping pong tables dotted along the Seine in Paris and I've always thought we should do something similar here.
