I started thinking earlier about my shopping that I have to get when I'm next in the USA - there's a long list! Some of it is stuff that I can't get in the UK and some of it (mainly toiletries and make-up) I buy because it is still cheaper in the US even with the current exchange rate.

So what does everyone else buy? I can't be the only one who can spend lots of money when faced with a Sephora or Target?!

Rite-in-the-rain pens and note pads.

I always seem to be bringing pack a pair of Uggs for my wife - as they are much cheaper in the USA.

For me, jeans. And I try not to buy a new mac product....

I'll definitely agree with that one - I have bought several pairs in the US as they are about half the price of the UK.

Had a nice chat with the manager at Coconut Point TB's.
Folks over there like shopping in M and S when over here.
They do not appreciate Tesco's foray across the pond.

we buy advils, razor blades, shirts (dress ones for work )trainers

UGGs, all things A+F/Hollister and Victoria Secrets underwear for Dragonbaby.
CK underwear, Banana Republic shirts and A+F Fierce cologne for Mr DL.
For me, Creme de La Mer eye cream, high end shoes (much much cheaper than in the UK and the assistants usually far more helpful) and cosmetics/fragrance.I also spend lots in Bath and Body Works .
I also stock up on melatonin, Carmex, and Day/Night Quills .

Mustn't forget the day/nitquils. Not sure what they put in them but much better than day/night nurse.

In the years I have been flying to the States (currency fluctuations aside) I think the price differential for a lot of things has got better in the UK's favour. Also, many of the brands that were only available in the US, are now on sale in Tesco and Asda.

We used to come back with real bargains on CD's, Videos (remember them?) and lots of other things.

There is still money to be saved on a few things - most of which have already been mentioned - my essential purchases -

Jeans
Razor blades.
Ink jet cartridges
Advil
Hershey's cookies and cream kisses
Pepperidge Farm cookies.
Red Sox T-shirts and Polo shirts. ^)
Lite ranch dressing.
Sam Adams beer.

Make sure you have your ID with you when buying them - I was asked for ID when buying them a few weeks ago in Target! ?|

Advil is great isn't it, always buy a few bottles if I'm running low.

Also, CKs and some plain white T-shirts in Macys.
Renu contact lens solution in small bottles, great to carry round but you can't seem to get it here.

Used to love popping into Virgin in Times Square and getting some bargains, seem a lot harder to find nowadays, especially as both Virgin stores have shut. The bookstores don't discount as much. Cheaper jsut to buy on play or amazon.

Never been asked in Wal-Mart. They must be less fussy
