So, to make their food taste better, all the airlines need to do is ask you to swith your IFE to the meal channel and listen to the appropriate background track?

Heston Blumenthal did something along those lines a while back when he served a fish dish with an iPod so you could listen to the sound of waves.

I think it's more cost control that stops airline food tasting good. Take a trip with Qatar, Singapore and Cathay Pacific in F and then tell me it doesn't float your boat ...

I've never felt the need to season my mars bar at 30,000ft and it still tastes the same!
