Quick question for all the Hilton gurus.
Can I book a reward room for a friend or does it have to be me that checks in?
many thanks

I take it your daughter checked in without you being present.

You can use your points for anyone but you need to put their name on the reservation, and therefore you will not get stay or night credit.
The treatment of some of the free night certificates is different, i.e the Q3 free nights from 2010 have to be used by the account holder.

Also, if you have HHonors status, the person you have booked the room for does not automatically inherit your status for upgrades / exec lounge access.

Thanks Guys for all your help - ended up phoning because the website wouldn't let me change name of the guest, (but then the website is a little flakey)
Simple in the end and will more than make up for it with this quarters promotion.
