Anyone here with experience of any of the hotels on the main Sunset Boulevard drag?

Have stayed @ Le Parc and found it a bit too far from the action

Narrowed down to the Sunset Tower, Andaz & Sunset Plaza

Am I missing any? Got to get my bi-annual fix @ Carney's Express Train

Not over $450 per night (two night stay), if possible

The London looks great, Neil ... not too hip for a 'young' fifty year-old?

At that amount, Hollywood is your oyster..

I wouldn't have said so.

Just one tip, unless you really want to, stick with the basic suite, they are massive so really no need for anything more.

Parking isn't cheap $30 or so a day IIRC.

Chateau Marmont is my hotel of choice - been going there from 6 months old until now and the bar is a hangout of my friends so never stayed anywhere else. Partied a few times at The Standard - superb parties round the pool (and the view is amazing) - visited a suite for a drink and was very nice indeed !)
