There was a major computer failure with Alaska and Horizon yesterday which prompted this

I'd rather those (tad boring two) doing that than certain other airline Chief Executives ...

Quite impressed. One of the frequent gripes is that when there are problems the leaders of the airlines are nowhere to be seen (SRB and Willie Walsh during the ash/snow/strikes etc).

And a very public commitment to do "the right thing by you", something Virgin customer service would do well to learn from. I know we are a bit fed up of people complaining in a very OT way about refunds but it must be so frustrating to be three months on and still waiting.

Will be interesting to see if customer services can live up to the promise of the respective airlines presidents.
