Earning Hilton HH Gold Status

I have the HHonors Platinum Visa card from Barclays. Just had a letter late last week, they are 'enhancing' the card offering.

Current offer is that you retain silver status for as long as you have the card. The new offer is gold status for one year after you've spent £10K on the card in a year. (You get the status for the remainder of the year and the next full membership year - HH years run Feb to Feb IIRC?).

Makes me wish I was still self-employed... paying income tax on the card would be a reasonably proposition - £140 in payment charges to get HH Gold, 20000 HH points and a month or so credit on the payments...

The card website hasn't been updated yet, but thought I would give a headsup. :)

Thanks for the update.
Sue got a mail shot last week. She has a HH credit card which she used very rarely, and is currently HH silver. Her offer was gold status for the £10k spend or three Hilton 'stays' in the next 90 days.

We are firmly tied into re-qualifying for Marriott gold each year, but this looks a decent alternative if the standards at Marriott do a VS. 8D ;)

Hi all :D

Has anyone still got the mailshot regarding the offer of Gold/Gold Elite for a year if you stay 3 times before the middle of October?

I can't find my copy but I could stay at a Hilton 3 times before mid October as my hotels can be flexible.

I just want to check the T & C's before committing myself. PM me if you'd prefer.

Many thanks in advance y)
