I have to get myself from New York to Toronto, off the VS3, and looking at options / flight times, Air Canada from La Guardia seems the best option - so a quick CDC from JFK will do the trick to get there.
The VS3 lands at 1.25 pm and immigration is usually pretty quick, so I think I am safe to get an AC flight at 4.30 pm.
Anyone flown them, any experiences?

Assume you mean Jazz AC's internal flight's, which we take every February. If so, they are fine, nothing fancy and depending upon flight length time you do get something to eat/drink ranging from a meal to snack. Not much else to report really, small, convenient, clean and friendly. Actually thinking about it they are better than AC's long haul flights usually !

Why not AA Eagle from JFK to Toronto? Sure, it's AA but it's only about an hour's flight.

Ugh, puddle jumper, no First class.
I did consider it, but their flight times are either too soon after the VS3 lands or with an eight hour sit around in JFK ...

I did LAX-YYC in May in J with AC. Nice seat, good IFE for a short flight. Were given a hot meal and plenty of drink refills. Even though the flight was 2.5 hours and there were 5 J pax the service was very rushed. CC serving, although not rude, was not overly interested in the pax and sat and read the paper at every opportunity. I couldn't understand his French so I think he was a Quebecois

I have done VS45 to JFK then walked round to the Delta (grotty) terminal 3 and taken their 17:30 to YYC. It worked very well time wise, but the terminal and the plane leave something to be desired ... mainly cleanliness, service, attitude. Sadly for you Sir Slinks there is no first. Indeed I don't even reacall anything as grand as a curtain
