Tips on Morocco?

We are about to press 'go' on a trip to Morocco (Marakesh) in April and wanted to get a few v-flyer thoughts and opinions on the country if any of you have been?
We are planning on a 5 night trip centred on Marakesh but with side trips to the atlas mountains and perhaps Atlantic coast, like the look of hot air ballooning and a bit of trekking in the mountains.
Any thoughts are very welcome!
