Hi - I'm off to NYC in December for some Christmas shopping! Could anyone please advise which of the big stores have Yankee Candle concessions, or where the best place to get them might be? I have looked at their website and they don't appear to have stand-alone store in Manhattan.

Thanks.

Morning Turquoise,

Lucky you going to NYC for a bit of Christmas shopping...Enjoy!

right Yankee Candles in NYC, Last time I was there (about 4 years ago) I tried looking in the main stores there (Macy's, Bloomingdals and knowing me a few that I cant remember) I didnt find any, the only place that does doe them is Woodbury Common Premium outlet this is outside of Manhattan and if you look on their website http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=7 there are directions to it either drive or get a grey line bus from Manhattan.

If I did miss any place in Manhattan that sold Yankee Candle's and im sending you on a wild goose chase to Woodbury Common the great people on here will correct me and tell you of a nearer place.

Hope this helps!

Mike

Bed Bath and Beyond have a good selection - 60th St/1st Ave if you are on the east side or in Chelsea (I think around 24th St).

Woodbury common is a bit of a trek and to be honest, didn't rate it..your time would be better spent in NYC itself and all that it offers than a generic shopping outlet village unless you are going for something specific...

But there again I am a man and don't understand these things !! :w

They don't have any stand alone stores in Manhattan but their website does list a number of concessions - including bed bath and beyond

You can also order online and have the items delivered to your hotel - have done this before without problems. You just need to order far enough in advance so delivery coincides with your stay.

Saying that it may actually be cheaper (and possibly less bother) to buy them over here - Debenhams and House of Fraser have reasonable selections. As does QVC

I visit Yankee Candles stores when I am in Boston, but to be honest they are actually cheaper buying them from online retailers here in the UK. I just go see/smell the new fragrances in the stores while in the US, but rarely buy there.

Thanks all for your advice, and Penny L - I didn't realise they would be cheaper in the UK!! I will have a look at the online brochure instead - after all, it will leave more room for other shopping in the luggage!! :)
