MBNA Fraud Detection Strikes Again!

Last night I booked two flights for my holiday next week.
The outbound via Continental (on LH metal) and the inbound is on VS (am using miles so please don't worry about one way costs!)
Both transactions were for around $ 250 - though due to the VS fuel surcharge the NYC-LHR fees are larger than the LHR to NYC fees (which is essentually UK and German APD and UK/US airport fees and NO fuel surcharge!)
Now which of those transactions would you think would generate a fraud alert from MBNA? The first time ever transaction on Continental or the transaction with VS who I have used many times before?
Yep - you've got it. I had to confirm the VS transaction !
Their fraud routines really need looking at. A couple of years ago when in a short space of time I put through £1.5k for a flight, £ 300 for a washing machine and £ 14 for amazon it was the amazon transaction they contacted me about!
