New York Shows - Any Recommendations?

So, as

(a) (unusually) MrsPJH has a week off before Christmas
(b) the project I am on is closing down for that week
(c) I wonder where the hell we'll all be in a year given Greece, Italy, Syria, Iran....

carefully hoarded miles are being spent on a trip to NYC.

There's no chance of this being a surprise - I'm sure I'm already sussed - but one aspect I do have control over is the schedule once we are there, and given MrsPJH is a fan of the live theatrical event I am wondering if anyone out there has any "must do" events (even if very cheesy). I'm ruling out "The Book of Mormon" (tickets just not available) and anything that's on in in London (unless "Jersey Boys" is so much better closer to home). I'm thinking "The Addams Family" one eve, and perhaps Radio City another..but willing to take advice.

I do recommend the Addams Family. We went to see it in August and Brooke Shields was outstanding y) . We bought tickets before we went and got front row(paid a little extra) :D . What ever you decide all the shows are amazing.

You might find this Christmas Week Schedule useful in helping you plan and choose.

If you are not particularly fussed over what to see then take pot-luck at the TKTS booth in Times Square for same day discounted tickets (usually 50%).

Spiderman - ignore the poor reviews the show originally got, it's been rewritten and it's amazing visually whatever you think of the book.

It would be terribly remiss of me not to recommend This trio if you fancy something a bit different.

Would you consider queuing on the day for cancellation/standing room tickets for Book of Mormon? After listening to the CD many times, I would jump at any chance to see it!
