V-Flyer

We are flying LHR to Abu Dhabi and then a change of aircraft and onto Bangkok, two flights, one ticket, one airline.

What happens when I check-in on-line? Do I just get to choose seats for the first flight and have to do it again later for the next leg, or do I get to do it all at once?

If Etihad is anything like Emirates you'll get both your boarding passes at the same time when you check in so that on arrival at Abu Dhabi you just clear security in the transit area and go straight to next gate.

PS: You should be able to pre-select you seats in advance, ie. not wait until check-in?

You were right about seat selection too - though Etihad themselves had told me it wasn't possible ages ago. Annoyingly, all seats were allocated apart from two hideous ones - I'll be sure to check-in on-line very promptly - just in case!
