Some great BBC reporting on BBC London news, alleged long immigration queues at Heathrow terminal 2!
I hope its a slip of the tongue, but they didn't correct themselves.

"... err, you just need to wait behind the line until we finish building"

I presume they meant T3. I came through there on Sunday morning and the queue was so bad it went out of the immigration hall and back up the ramp all the way to the top where the two channels meet. Myself and one or two others ignored this queue and went down to see if the IRIS was OK - which it was - and we were through in 1 minute. I can't imagine how long those poor souls were waiting in the other lines, but it must have taken 2 or 3 hours ... or more.

I guess it was an attempt to reduce queues like that that made the ex-UKBA Chief make the decision that cost him his job
