I see the latest (first ever) Flyertalk awards have been announced and I would suggest they do not make happy reading for Virgin Flying Club - only came 7th overall in Europe.

http://www.flyertalk.com/awards/fullresults.htmlWinners are -
USA - AAdvantage
Europe - BA Executive Club
Asia - Cathay Pacific Asia Mile
Further category on Outstanding Benefit and this follows similar profile to carrier awards, although note that the BA MFU/UUA/Avios upgrades that won the Europe category is being withdrawn.

Thinking about this further what improvements and additions would you like to see from VFC to make it rise up the charts to the number 1 position in the frequent flyer awards next year?

Let's not forget though that Flyertalk does tend to be the main BA online forum so I wouldn't read too much into these results.
VS (and other airlines) don't get nearly as much forum space as BA does on there.

That is true, but Virgin will always suffer due to it's lack of being in an alliance, whilst it has partners FC offers nowhere near the flexibility that can be had booking an award on Star.

I would like to be able to upgrade a revenue fare with miles using an online system, rather than phoning. This applies to new as well as existing bookings.

Agreed. I'd like to go one further, that when booking a fare, it offers a mileage seat (if available) at time of booking.

Ain't that the truth ! If you even hint at a disparaging remark about BA then the fanboys all get off the teet and it is a feeding frenzy !

Same goes for the BA Fanboy Facebook page as well. One negative comment about BA on there and bingo, your blocked.
