Oh hell, I am seriously running out of options to get to Belfast City from a convenient airport (i.e. Luton/Stansted). First Ryanair, then Easyjet, now this. For that matter, is this the death knell for BHD as a whole?
Flights to International beckon again, very annoying when your office is only a 2 min drive from City.

I don't think Belfast City as an airport will be affected by this as bmibaby only really arrived after Ryanair pulled out.
FlyBe might have a look... I think they're the only realistic contender now... EasyJet having stopped their trial of Luton flights to Belfast City.

My concerns would be for the ultra handy BMI service to LHR from a selfish point of view. It may be profitable but likely not as profitable as using precious LHR slots for BA long haul.
Losing that would have implications for the NI economy as a whole. No one wants to fly to Aldergrove if working in Belfast or living in the scampi belt.
