has anyone ever flown with Titan Airways?

Only asking because I just got an email from easyjet, who I'm meant to be flying with on Saturday - they have a shortage of planes so are outsourcing the flight to Titan. My wife is now rather apprehensive that we'll end up with some 30 year old turbo prop...

Yes I flew with them from gatwick to Chambery a few years back, they were good and that was on a 757, I know they have a few 737 too but not sure what else

Don't BA sometimes use them at LGW when things go awry?

BA have used them several times recently on flights out of both LCY & LGW. They're fine albeit not quite up to BA standards but on domestic or shorthaul who cares anyway.

Thanks all, sounds like it should be fine. Not as though expectations are that high anyway given that Easyjet was the starting point for us!

I've aslo done a Fam flight with them in the past, they are quite often hired by football teams for European games and or groups for concerts, I think you'll be fine they seemed pretty competent

Titan are a great bunch, they can be called upon to cover any lack of aircraft right up until the last minute.

They have a very cool 757 which they can reconfigure in a day to switch between 200 Economy seats and 80 "Business" seats (I would say more of a premium economy on VS kind of standard to be honest)

I would say not too far away from BA standards and presume that EZY will not have paid for them to cater anything on your flights, will be interesting to see if they have the paid for service set up.

Do let us know how it goes.

I work for them and as far as i know you'll be getting g-zapw. This may change by saturday of course depending on night time royal mail flights going smoothly.

Thanks Plinz1! So pretty much a like for like substitution from what I can see.

Will certainly do a TR (this from a man who is about 10 in arrears... Too many flights, too little tome...), certainly interesting to see how service levels compare.

Yes yes, mea culpa HL :| :| :|

But you know how it is, lots of uneventful trips, it can be a struggle to come up with something interesting to say...

Come to think of it, maybe that's not a problem that you're familiar with ):

Hi

I've also been on Titan, when we got stranded in the Faroes together with at least three other flights worth of passengers. Atlantic Airways (the Faroes carrier) having only two planes chartered in Titan

Found them to be fine....

G-ZAPW it is, just pulling on to the stand now. Interesting design, moon and stars on a blue/white stripe background...
