Eateries in Paris

Just booked a long weekend in Paris, staying around Vendome.
Any pointers for hidden gems for a nice meal out, not too excessive (knowing some multiple Michelin started establishments exist there abouts)

http://www.sudouestetcie.com/ - we've eaten here a few times and been very happy with it. A lot of duck on the menu and their fixed menus are very good. Last time we went was a couple of years ago, and their fixed menus were very reasonable. It's in Montparnasse, but anywhere in Paris is only a short metro ride.

Alan's gaff on the 2nd floor of the tower looks fun, but imagine beefed up prices due to location...
