Hi everyone,
I'll be flying on 31st October from LHR to MCO with AIRCRAFT CHANGE in JFK, the company is Delta . It's indicated Aircraft Change, not Stop, and the Flight number is Delta 4 for all the flights, the only thing that change is the Aircraft. I will enter in the USA with a M1 Student VISA for flight training. do you know if I have to pass through TSA security in New York ?? Do I need to check in again my checked in baggage ? I ask this because I just have 1.35hr between the 2 flights, and I would like to know if it's enough, if I need to check-in to pass through security and etc... Arrival in T3 gat 10 , departure T3 gate 16 I think.
Hope to hear u soon thanks in advance !! ;)

Hi there, you will change aircraft on this routing, it's a B767 to JFK and then a B737 to MCO. When arriving in the US you have to clear immigration and customs at your first port of call - so yes you will deboard, go through immigration, collect your bags, go through customs then recheck for the connection.

If DL allow you to book this itinerary then go for it, the connection time seems very short but I don't know about T3 at JFK, if it were T4 I'd say no way. The good thing though is that if you miss the connection, as you'll be booked on one itinerary DL will put you on the next flight if you're delayed ... no guarantee of when that next flight will be of course.
