Hi,

Bought a Nook today, from John Lewis. Set up is fine - until I came to input card details to pay for books. Got a message saying you have to have a credit card billing address in the US. Well, clearly I don't - but is there a way round this? Nooks are widely available here in the UK, so surely there must be a way to do this? Anyone out there had similar issues and if so, what did you do about it? Not much use if I can't download books!

A Nook? I seriously thought they were solely a Barnes and Noble baby..... :?

From what the news has been citing lately it is surprising they are pushing this product in the UK.

Sorry cannot help with a reg issue, but as it is a B&N product is there not an area of their UK site to download their ebooks.. UK site here: http://uk.nook.com/store

Maybe default settings have it trying to log on to the US site, just a thought ?|

Thanks Joey. I have to admit I didn't know about it being in the news recently, but thanks for the UK site of B & N. I'm waiting for a call back from JL, so will see what they have to say.

I couldn't see a way to link to the UK site, but will have another look. I have to say, I'm supremely skilled at missing something blindingly obvious, so it may easily be that's what I've done ;)

Oh, I knew I was stupid... going to the UK B & N site does let it work.

D'oh......

In my defence, there was no option on set-up.....
