Then be aware that the (Oakland) Bay Bridge will be closed from 8.00 PM on Wednesday 28th August until 5:00 AM on Tuesday 3rd Sept to allow for the old bridge to close and the new one to open.

Thanks for the heads up Tonty my plans include driving from Lake Tahoe to SFO on Sat 31st Aug, looks like I'll be leaving earlier than expected and using an alternate Bridge.
Anyone have a preferred route?
Either the San Mateo or GGB?
Thanks again
Dominic

I can attest it was awful my journey from Lake Tahoe to SFO took more than an hour longer than normal I chose the San Mateo option and after all that my flight was cancelled.

Bridge is now fully open and even opened early - late Monday night rather than early Tuesday morning.
