Heading to Dubai in October for a four night business trip. Never flew with emirates before and was wondering if any members here have done ths route and what should I expect. I have flown J with BA, Vs , SIa and Cathay Over the sat 6/7 years. Would be interested to hear any comments - I believe it's a 777

I'm flying it in November so I can't help there but my niece flew in Economy recently and reported positively about it.

One of our V-Flyers, HWVLover has done several legs in Emirates J class in a 777 between Dubai and Oz and also praises it highly. If you do a search you should be able to find some of his trip reports.

I've not flown with them DUB-DXB but I have flown with them a lot on other 777 routes.
Their J product really differs depending on the aircraft. Some aircraft are fitted with "deeply reclining seats", broadcast video with crappy little monitors that pop out of the seat arms arms. Others have got fully flat beds, electric window blinds with fake wooden trim, huge HD touchscreen video-on-demand, replete with detachable touchscreen remote control thingies. There's at least one more variation, which is a slightly older version of the flat bed.
The food and service is still good, no matter the hard product. Way better than VS, in my experience. On night flights to/from Europe, you'll get an amenity kit, but day flights have to be longer then 9 hours otherwise.
Dubai Airport is a big shopping mall. Not fun at all.
