Hi all

Just looking at booking our Heathrow hotel before we fly to LA. I am a member of the AA and used this to get AAA discount for hotels in the US. I have just found a good discounted rate for the Radisson Edwardian in Heathrow but it's a AAA rate.

My question is can a use my AA card to get a AAA rate in the UK

Yes, the AA is affiliated to the AAA via ARC EUROPE, the symbol is on the back of your AA membership card. The international code for the AA is 428, but you don't really need this. Showing your AA card should be enough although you may not be asked for proof of membership.

Another little known benefit for AA members is that they have access to some AAA breakdown benefits whilst in the USA. Whilst rental cars come with breakdown cover it does not always extend to flat batteries, running out of fuel or loss of car keys. These extra services can be purchased from the car rental at an additional daily charge. These services are free from the AAA for AA members.

Not meaning to rock the boat HL and sorry for going slightly OT, but some of the forum software has been rewriting URL links of late to redirect through an address that will probably give credit to Pete for said redirect. Nothing wrong with that, but it does render the links inaccurate as they don't go where they are supposed to go

I have also been posting excerpts recently...Is there some other way to go about this?

Not any breach of copyright if we credit the source surely..
