Here's a TR from someone who cashed in all their airmiles for an SQ Suites flight! Would love to know how many miles it cost.

Wow.
I certainly could become accustomed to that.
He sure did eat, but what a fabulous TR.

Clearly nothing to do with Etihad's advertising of The Residence....

I too was appalled at/impressed by/shocked with/jealous of (delete as applicable) the amount he ate. My favourite line from the article:
Having stuffed myself with three entrées back in the lounge, I wasn’t particularly hungry so I settled for a 5-course supper.
Yes, that's
precisely what you do when you're "not particularly hungry"
I definitely think this has worked as a fairly grand marketing scheme, I found it on the "top news" on the side of Facebook's right hand bar (obviously FB have me pegged as an airmiles nerd). Although looking at the suites, once I'd initially oohed and ahhed a bit, OH and I had a chat and decided there isn't much they offer that we felt like we'd enjoy that much more than a "regular" First or even UC flight. It's definitely a case of YMMV, though!

I just flew KE First (JFK-ICN) on the new A380 in their new 'Kosmo Suites' (and second leg, ICN-SYD, on an A330-300). It was pretty impressive (having both cocktail bar with bartender, and a private help-yourself bar was, er, rather nice), I must say.
Anyway, I'll try and find time to write a quick trip report, but I need to take some photos on the return leg!

It never ceases to amuse me that when we get a car from Raffles to Changi, we are always met by a vast number of porters who enquire if we are flying FC; when we explain that we are not, they disappear.
Luckily, the trolleys are free.

I really can't see that what they offer is in any superior to flying Ryanair to Plovdiv to be honest
Having stuffed myself with three entrées back in the lounge, I wasn’t particularly hungry so I settled for a 5-course supper.
y) I too loved this line. A man after my own heart!
Total extravagance. I can't halp thinking those that get the opportunity to indulge with airmiles will really appreciate the service whilst those who can, and do, pay will just take it all very much for granted, as that is what they are used to on a daily basis. What do such folk have to dream of or look forward too when such luxury is mainstream?
I shall still enjoy my BA flight in WT+ in a few days though. I shall just have my lobster after landing in New England
