Priority Pass card via platinum amex is actually better...

I didn't realise this and found this out via head for points.
Each priority pass issued as part of amex platinum cards gets a guest in for free. The bought PP doesn't have this. Not hugely advertised but good to know...
Saves me about 30 quid for next flight, which is handy.

That doesn't sound right to me. This is from the AMEX Platinum terms and conditions:
"By enrolling in Priority Pass Select, you agree that you will be responsible for all accompanying guest visits and will be automatically charged $27 per guest to your Platinum Card® from American Express after you have signed for the visit and it has been reported to Priority Pass by the participating lounge."

This is on my copy of terms and conditions.
Both the Main and Supplementary Cardmember must enroll into Priority Pass. In order to access Priority Pass lounges, Cardmember must present a valid Priority Pass membership card in his or her name, along with boarding pass for same day travel and government-issued ID. Cardmember may bring up to one guest into the lounge at no cost. Any additional guests will be charged a fee at the prevailing rate – currently 27USD per person, per visit, to his or her Platinum Card. For complete conditions of use visit
I have had guests in and never been charged.

David, do you have a Small Business Amex Platinum? When I had that card, I remember that was the case (one free guest).
Also, is yours a UK Amex Platinum? I remember that was also the case (one free guest)
I have since switched to a US personal Amex Platinum now, and it's definitely $27 per guest.

This may be a difference between the UK and US cards. The UK card added a free guest a couple of years or so ago.

It's on the internal terms and conditions apparently, and silently applied via the card swipe apparently. The PP main site says its pay. I've not got access to the internal uk terms and condition...

Mine reads as David has posted,
Mrs Hull and I have never been charged for guests.
The upthread link is for "Priority Pass Select"
http://www.prioritypass.com/select/select/index.cfm which may be covered by different T&C's from the "Priority Pass"
http://www.prioritypass.comJust a guess, I never knew there was a difference.

So this must be a UK/US Amex difference!
Interesting to know.
Thanks, David.
