Afternoon all from the Galleries lounge LHR T5

Mrs Hull and I spent last night in the Sofitel LGW for our BA flight to AMS at 0750.

Checkin was quick but the Premium channel was very slow so we only had time for a coffee and a pastry in the lounge, the flight was a little bumpy and we arrived into AMS just after 1000 local, we went through passport control and collected our luggage then made our way to the BA checkin desks for our 1610 flight back to LHR I asked if they could put us on an earlier flight, the agent said she could move us to the 1145 departure, OK great, so straight back through security and were heading back to London within three hours of leaving.

Had some Thai Chicken Curry and Rice and enjoying a few glasses of St Emillion while we wait for our 1600 A380 departure to JNB, we're giving 10E+F a go (front and centre of the lower deck facing backwards.

No internet access or cell phone signals at the Lodge we are staying at so peace and quiet for a week :D

Looking forward to your TR as I'm flying on the A380 to and from JNB next year.

Yeah that's what I thought too, she did say they were expecting bad weather later so I guess that we would be two less to deal with if it caused any issues.

Will do Joey, I'm sure I'll enjoy the wildlife and wine even more ):

I'll give it my best shot, the wine in the Galleries Lounge is going down very well so far, we have Upper Deck window and aisle for the return so will try and cover both aspects.
It's Mrs Hulls first time in CW having enjoyed VSUC for the last five or so years so I wait for her judgement.
