After a taxi ride that took so long the driver was updating his Facebook status and he took pity on me and bought me a pretzel. Mind you, I did cross the Bosphorus at least twice.
What is "Turkish Wedding Soup"?

I hope you enjoyed Istanbul. We were there at the end of September and had a lovely 3 days taking in the sights, must agree the traffic was horrendous. We stayed at the new Hilton Bomonti which was amazing, although on the out skirts of the city centre, they have their own taxis which were reasonable.
Didn't try the Wedding soup but they did have it in the executive lounge at the airport. We used Turkish Airlines lounge which was spread over two floors and had a fantastic selection of food and drink.

Unfortunately an overnight business trip so flight->taxi->hotel->offices->taxi->flight.
Moderately impressed by Turkish Airlines though, and will be posting my (Economy) TRs in a day or two...

The business class flights ( BHX-IST-SIN ) were exceptional and far exceeds my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
