As Raffles points out at headforpoints, that's a promotional fare for the first 500 seats. After that the normal fare will reportedly be nearer £1500.

Sorry to say this is doomed to fail just like EOS, Silverjet and MAXjet. Business travellers just don't do Luton. They want connections, multiple daily flights, a good FF programme and real flat beds. This is a premium leisure service, not business class.

Luton can hardly be classed as London! I certainly woul: not fly from there for business or leisure

Luton is only a mile or so farther from central london that West Sussex located Gatwick is. From Blackfriars the travel time on the train is roughly the same.

The issue they will have is that it is not a 7/7 service and the non operating flight is midweek and the 17.45 departure time with a 9.00 PM arrival into NYC does not scream 'business friendly'

And whilst they say they will rebook you if the flight gets cancelled it will take a couple of hours to move you from LTN to LHR

From the reviews I've read this looks more like a 'Premium Premium Economy' rather than a business class product.

I can't see many business people using it and not sure if the leisure market from LTN to EWR is big enough to sustain it.
