.... where the service has been dire! Either that or the Cloak of Invisiblity has made its way to T5 once more even though I am sitting in front of the bar. v(
Totally bored and fed up. :#

Oh dear lady!
Do they not know who you are?
Shocking (but then again it seems to be pretty standard from the comments on flyer talk about the CCR)

Sorry and surprised to hear that.

Hope things soon improve and you are suitably impressed .

Not good! They had improved a lot recently, though one of the staff was awful when we visited earlier in the month.
If you get a text from BA asking for your feedback on visiting a lounge, do reply, the monitor responses live and will oftenl come seek you out if you are not happy.

Yes, from my limited time in the BA lounges so far (Galleries, for about 6 hours between a Chicago and Dublin flight), the habit of turning up early for the lounge needs broken on my next BA flights...
It saddens me. Part of the holiday was getting to the lounge a few hours early, eating and chilling...

Sadly nothing unusual about that at all n(
In my experience the service in the CCR is "Fawlty Towers'esque" at best

The thing is you have all been spoilt rotten by visiting the LHR Virgin CH, which is one of the best lounges in the world

It surpasses all business lounges I have ever visited and is better than most First lounges I expect.
When I found out my first BA First flight later this year was to be from LHR Terminal 3 rather than Terminal 5, and I would not get to visit the CCR, I was a bit disappointed but many have reassured me I was not missing much and some prefer the T3 Galleries First to the CCR. You can visit the First Lounge in T5 also if the CCR does not suit.
Anyway HL I am sure you are now in SA and having a great time. Just watch it if you are renting a car after the Californian saga ):
