wyndham reward points

Does this sound possible....

Currently room prices are £85 a night for a hotel I am looking for.
However, there is room boost available for £25 + 3000 points.

I dont have any points, but looking at their website, it will only cost $33 for 3000 points (about £20)

Do you think this is Savvy way of getting a hotel room for 1/2 the price, or do you think it won't be possible?

You also get 3000 points for your first booking - so can do the same again on another booking.

This has indeed worked.

Booked Ramada in Hounslow (wanted somewhere close to Tube, so I can get straight into heathrow & not have to mess around with Taxi's the night before & the following morning)

Bought 3,000 points for $33 (approx £22.50)

Spent them 3,000 points + paid 22.75 GBP
for my room.

As it is my first booking, I may get a 3,000 bonus!
I have booked but the bonus isnt showing - so might take time to credit, or only valid for full rate bookings.

So an £85 room for less than £50!

Hope it is of use to someone else.

It certainly looks good.
But I tried to find a hotel for Gatwick and it offered a choice of 7, including central London and Heathrow.

yea, they do seem to give a lot of unrealistic options, but it does seem to be done in order of distance. There is 1 2 miles from Gatwick & another 3 miles.

Because I travel out in February and have previously had problems on both road and rail, we now opt for an on airport hotel. I have stayed at the Hilton the last four years, but would also consider Sofitel and maybe Bloc but I think I need to visit Bloc before I make up my mind on that one.
