Paracetamol in the US

This may sound a stupid question - it sounds stupid to me and I think I should know the answer, but I don't.
What's the U.S. Equivalent of paracetamol? I've bought ibuprofen over there, but I know I've never seen paracetamol. I did wonder about also etching like Tylenol, but isn't that aspirin? Am sure someone here will know!

Tylenol contains acetaminophen not aspirin. I find it's the nearest thing to paracetamol for me as I can't take aspirin.

Have just re read what I wrote, no idea what etching was about, that wasn't what I thought I typed in!
Thank you people. I've recently been advised against taking ibuprofen, hence the question. Presumably generic acetomenophen works just as well as the branded Tylenol...

Yes. Generic acetaminophen is what you want.
