Dubai - Panama in Central America.

That's a LONG time to spend in economy especially if you are unfortunate enough to be blessed with some smelly / noisy / obnoxious seat mates. >-( :)

It's a long time to spend in any cabin even with the most fragrant / quiet / personable seat mates!

Is there that much demand for Panama City, Panama? Only thing I can think of is for ship crew to change over at the canal, but that's stretching it.

Hmm I've always wanted to go to Panama

Not a bad choice for EK, Panama is a nice little gateway into Central and South America from the Middle East without having to fly through Europe or North America. Panama City hosts one of the biggest free trade zones and is flagged for a fair amount of economic growth in the future thanks to all the shipping traffic they see too, I wonder how much cargo EK will fly there.... what's the capacity of a B777 again?

Publicity from running the longest flight in the world will be good for them too.

Alas, not a record - EWR-SIN was longer when it existed.
