I think I read somewhere that when that happens their names are also passed to all airlines and put on a "no fly" list, so they might have a somewhat longer trip home.

if the reports are correct, surely ryanair are due a severe ticking off for allowing them to even board?

Well, I think my daughter can slap/punch harder than that ! However, that was fairly horrible for those around and fair play to the guy who videoed it to make a complaint and shame them. That is if they know what shame is.
