Booked the Hampton at gatwick on for a night before we were supposed to fly to vegas but I moved my flights to manchester!! I now have a room which was a non refundable booking with booking.com and I don't know what to do with. I was going to add a couple of nights and take the kids to london, but they charge £40 a day parking and its a long drive from Harrogate.

what can I do with it?

Just put it down to "one of those things" and forget it?

you could give/sell the booking to someone else, hotel is unlikely to notice as long as they turn up with the booking reference - even then they can simply say you booked it on their behalf

but if it's a stranger, you need to be sure the booking doesn't allow charging any bar/food/other charges to your card on checkout

tbh i'd simply let it go unused, though you could always try calling and see if they'll give a refund or credit, even though it's nominally non-refundable, i've done this in the past, some you win some you lose, never hurts to ask

ask for a refund & threaten to check in a homeless person if they do not
