We are planning a trip to India - Mumbai - in the spring and before booking the new VS service thought I'd just check for any bargains elsewhere. Found Gulf Air for £1,015 which we had to go for. Did a search and found a couple of positive comments about them. VS miles and the 4 TPs we need for silver.
Does anybody know about their limo service - is it Tristar, are there any mileage restrictions? Also which lounge they use at LHR? Very limited info on their website about London facilities other than to confirm provision of limo.

Gulf air always seem to have good fares in J & F. I think they have their own lounge near the clubhouse sure I passed it last month.

In fact I've just taken up their companion fare in J to Muscat, £670 per person return, J class, A330 craft and limos + drive thru check in.
Not bad at all.

We're going via Muscat - only disadvantage over using VS to Mumbai, no direct flight.
Drive thru check in described as "" Park Avenue" at Heathrow's Terminal 3" on Gulf Air website:D

Just did it. In fact got home about 10 mins ago from a brilliant 5 days in Muscat. Drive Thru called 'Park Avenue' as the building is predominantly AA's area and they give it that uniquely over the top title.
Flights brilliant & not so good (could do trip report if wanted)

Glad to hear you had a brilliant break in Muscat Jonathon. I would be interested to hear about the best and worst bits of your flights.
Do they use AA's seperate building on the other side of the drop-off area?
Regards
Elwood

Yes, I think 4 desks are for AA and then there's a divider and 2 desks for GF. Great check in staff. Will compose (get over reverse jetlag) and then draft reportage.
