Hello

Has anyone ever stayed at Hotel Thirty Thirty in New York? I am planning a city break in September and saw a great deal on Virgin Holidays.
Any comments will be appreciated.

Yep stayed there a few years ago

Not a bad hotel - great location for manhatten
I got a free executive room upgrade - the regular rooms are a bit small IMHO.

Is there anywhere in Manhattan that this isn't true? :):D

Hi

Am thinking about booking 5 nights in thirty thirty in NY for 5 nights in April, as it meets my (small for NY!) budget of £600ish. I'd be very grateful for any opinions of anyone who has stayed there or if anyone has any other recommendations. I've looked on trip advisor which has very much mixed reviews.

Thanks

I've booked 5 nights at the Renaissance Hotel Times Square, through VH, for just over £600. Remember you get 10% off their prices with FC. Seemed to get good reviews on Trip Advisor too. Can't tell you what it was like though, you'll have to wait till March for that! [?]

Every time I book NY I forget how expensive the city is.
Bazz, I'm jealous. Thats my number one hotel I want to stay in. The lobby lounge and Spa are nice enough by themselves!

Renaissance at Times square has good sized rooms (by NY standards)with two queen sized beds ,chairs, tables, big marble bathrooms etc etc. The view from the restaurant over Times Square (right below) is fantastic.Don't know what it costs these days as havn't stayed there for a while but was fairly expensive a few years back.

Cheers everyone. I've gone for the Holiday Inn in midtown for around £110 per night. Seems to be in an ok location and it has a pool....

Rooms at the NY Palace are big. Hilton not too bad. Millennium Hilton OK.

W, Intercontinental and some in the Waldorf Astoria are pokey pokey pokey.

Guess where I try to stay...
