Might be better phoning Virgin to ask - I got nowhere with web last year when trying to book GLA to london so I could connect with Air New Zealand. Both Virgin & ANZ have British Midland as a strategic partner - so should be able to get connecting flights from Edinburgh (or glasgow - more available) with them.
Are your flights £90+tax , or £90 inc. tax??
Im looking at going to london to get virgin flight in June & Ive been quoted £0 for flights + the taxes .... The 2 flights are coming in at a total of £98 or so.
Same dates @ similar times I can get BA flights for about £130 total. As long as my baggage can be checked through, im not too fussed which I chose.

Hi

We have been able to do this, but only when booking with VH, it then depends on which airports you need connect to, for Belfast-LGW with flyBE we got it for 10 per person, but for LHR I know it it alot more.

Ok, my flights (prov.) booked yesterday (31st Jan) for June...
If I booked seperately - i was able to get the 2x BMI flights for total of £95 ("free" flights plus taxes) return (June 5 / june26) - plus the VS fare (coming in at a total price of circa £800 in Economy or circa £1200 with economy to USA & PE on the way back)... By booking through Virgin (which Ive just done) - was costing me £100 more (£50pp return) - but my baggage is checked through (Im happy to pay the extra to have everything details on the 1 e-ticket, instead of having 2 seperate bookings with 2 airlines, thus (hopefully!) avoiding the hassle of collecting & rechecking baggage). They actually gave me choice of BMI or BA flights - but Ive used BMI a few times & just went with them (flight times were similar - however I get FCmiles with them).
My LHR-NYC flights are in the bag, have to phone back tomorrow to check if the BMI flights can be confirmed (if not they`ll give me alternates).
So - all going well , my flights for June are booked - GLA-NYC return via LHR , return flights in PE on VS46.
