HP Codesharing flights now?

I know that HP partner with VS for internals at the moment, but when booking before - I've always been issued an HP flight number.
Just checking on ef.com for LAS availability with VS, and the following showed up:
VS43 - direct
VS19 + VS2871 (HP) - codeshare
VS7 + VS2996 (HP) - codeshare
VS23 + VS2953 (HP) - codeshare
So, my question is - when did VS start classifying those HP flights as true codeshares? Are they now ticketed with VS flight numbers?

If this is the case, then I am really surprised - given their recent merger with US Airways as they will be part of the Star Alliance.

IIRC the code share started in 2004.
I do remember checking in at LAS for HP in 2004, and I was told that they could also check me in for my connecting VS flight, where the software links had gone "live" connecting HP & VS only the day before.
That was the same time as the codeshare started.

They've certainly been interlining bags and doing through-check in, but I've never seen a boarding pass or ticket issued for an HP flight with an actual VS flight number - as above.
Just seemed new/different to normal. Certainly didn't display VS flight numbers in November, so although (as Richard says) they've been linked for a while - I don't think there's been a true codeshare for that long.

I know HP were having all kinds of problems getting the VS software to talk to theirs,as someone I know said,it's a total F%&k up over there (meaning London),I guess they sorted through those problems,i'll drop my friend a line, also see if there are any updates on the VS-HP mile earning and when BA is going to leave PHX.

Wow. Hmm. Maybe it's just an update to how EF.com see the flights then... [:?]

As I recall the VS codeshare was available when I booked in 2004, but the VS coedeshare flights landed at SFO too late for my preference (to get full enjoyment of the club house!) so I booked the non codeshare tickets on an earler HP flight on that occasion (but on the same PNR - hence baggage got interlined).

ok here's the word from HP about this.
BECAUSE VS is not in an alliance they will continue to codeshare with them.
On the flight number is depends on where you book,to get a codeshare flight number you have to have booked the flight through the HP res system everything comes from the data stream in the HP system.
