first choice photos on gallery

Just been looking at the images on the gallery "First Choice Longhaul Star Premium Cabin". How bad must the leg room be in standard seating if this is the upgrade?[:0]

According to the advertising better than BA's leg room. Which by implication makes it better than VS's. It certainly looks like less space to me that the VS PE cabin though. There is a first rate TR here if you are interested

They can quote leg room all they like - you wouldn't catch me on a charter.

The seats look a bit cheap to me.

Lol Lipstick- very snobby of you! FCA is the new breed of UK Carrier- the one that is giving VS a run for its money. After all they seem to have noticed how much Y has been forgotten by VS over the last 6 years and decided to create itself a real product that can rival it.

38 inches in PE and 33 in Y which is 3 more than VS!

Not always 3". ISTBC, but I think the pitch varies between 30" and 32". 31" being the most common. This seems to suggest that as well. Only thing is, I am not sure how it varies - is it different on diff aircraft, or does it vary by seat?

Cetainly pitch is THE biggest issue for me. All the other Y frills I can take with me in my flight bag (sandwiches, plonk, mints, tissues, earplugs,...,..). The exception is the IFE of course, but I can take a book[:0]. So if First choice gives me 2/3" extra space in Y and saves me money, well sorry VS, I'll be buying sandwiches and a book!

If FCA are in the business of tempting Y pax from VS (and BA)with, among other things, more space, perhaps these scheduled carriers will now be looking at some Y improvements in retaliation. Hope so;)

A friend of mine flew First Choice to Orlando in this Premium Economy, cos her tight boyfriend couldn't afford VS PE. She'd never flown long-haul before this trip. Apparently,(this is what he told me but I don't believe him) he got duped at the travel agent, the consultant told him First Choice PE is like first class, and that's exactly what he told his girlfriend. Shame.

Umm, I don't think it was necessarily the best way to manage expections! I can just imagine the full and frank exchange of views that took place[B)]. Are they still together;)

People shouldn't be so snobbish on charter flights anymore FCA are really taking charters to the next level. To be honest if your flying from LGW on VS in Y and you can get the same on FCA in Star Class Premier and even just star class which is 33" seat pitch - premier 36" but this is the list of extras and for a fraction of the cost of PE also not much difference in services especially if your stuck with NOVA.

My only problem with the Charters going to Orlando, is the fact most of them go into Sandford and not MCO. Flying directly into MCO is much easier and less hassel as far as I'm concerned.
