Did n't catch the name of the plane, could n't see it at Gate 17. It was a A340-600 with the new Premium Seats.

Check in was empty, walked straight up to a Upper Class agent, who switched me to a Bulkhead seat. Got a Gold sticker on my Boarding pass, with no hassle going through Fast Track.

Lounge was busy, food choices are better in my opinion when I usually travel to SFO or IAD.

They did n't call the flight, and it appeared on the board as closing, got on board in plenty of time, however, there were some baggage loading issues, and we left 45 minutes late.

The flight attendants were friendly, the service was good, however, when sitting in 18C, beware of the curtain knocking cups of water off the tray and onto you. This happened to me, and fortunately it was a cup of water and not an OJ.

Our flight time was good, we landed only about 20 mins behind schedule, the captain was female and kept us informed about the delay in getting onto our stand.

My bags were not tagged as UC, and they did not come off as a priority, but as I had two other colleagues on the flight in Economy, I was in no rush.

Overall a good flight.

My first impressions fo the new PE seats, is that they look nice, they do not appear to wear well, I noticed a few broken flimsy pieces of plastic and some rubbed leather corners, and initially they were not comfortable. By the end of the flight they were pretty good, I'm not sure how comfortable I'll find them to sleep in.

I always go for the Chicken Tikka, and while it did n't look very nice, it tasted ok. The food in the lounge was very good, and upon recommendations here, I had the Club House burger beforehand.

Thanks for the TR uk[y]

Having flown in 18A and C recently, there are pros and cons.

Cons

-You are right next to the galley, it can get quite noisy.
-All you cabin baggage must be stowed away for take of and landing (I never remember to get everything I need from my bag!)
-The footrest cushion takes up a lot of space in the overhead bins.

Pros

-There is no seat to recline in front of you, easier to watch the IFE
-More space to spread out during the flight, especially if you are familiar with your travelling companion
-You are not far behind UC pax when disembarking the aircraft.

I think the seats may be slightly narrower as well
