After a fantastic 6 nights in LAS it was time for our return trip.
We enquired with the Venezia concierge whether there was internet access so that we could check-in online on the VA website. The concierge was extremely helpful and allowed us to use his computer to do so. Top marks[y]
So having checked in, we were under less pressure to get the airport early .

After checking out of the hotel at 11am we left our bags with them and wandered over to Madame Tussauds to pass some time.

Back to the hotel at 1pm and after collecting our bags we got a taxi to the airport.

Queues for UC/PE were clearly marked and although we had already checked in, the queue for PE was shorter than bag drop so we were directed there instead. Again we were called over to the UC check-in.

Collected our boarding passes and then headed upstairs to security. The queue was quite short, and Mr L2H deliberately shepherded us toward the queue with the weird pod thing that you have to walk through, as he was curious what it was ! Something to do with Ionic something or other ?
Anyway stepped into it and was fired upon with jets of air... very strange[:?]. Then the usual frisking, shoes off etc

Through security and we settled into some seats near the gate. I had a wander round the shops which didn't take long.
The flight was running a hour late, we watched it approach the gate and it was 'Virginia Plain'. We had 'Ruby Tuesday' on the outgoing flight.

Priority boarding worked well, and we were soon settled into 71 H&K upstairs. Odyssey IFE again which was good news.
Champers/Juice arrived swiftly.

Dinner was Chicken, Fish or pasta. I had the smoked mozarella ravioli which was tasty. Mr L2H had the cajun chicken which was horrid apparently[:$]. He was also disappointed as the pudding was a strawberry shortcake and he hates strawberries. I offered him my cheese and crackers to compensate. He was too embarassed to ask for a different meal[ii].

The cabin lights were dimmed soon after baileys , I watched 'This is England' , and a chick flick which passed the time. Managed to get about an hours sleep. I really don't find the PE seats that comfy.
Breakfast was offered about 2 hours before landing. It was a hot filled croissant (cheese ?) , fruit and a muffin.

After we landed the captain made his usual announcements and then added that one of the cabin crew was doing her last flight today and was leaving to become a trapeze artist !! Strange change of career ?

One of the FAs then did an announcement to say something along the lines of 'thank you for flying VA from 'Vegas BABY' to LGW ' and then 'the temperature outside is ..... Cold ! '
Maybe she was the one on her last flight and in high spirits ?

Priority disembarkation worked well again, and our cases were riding the carousel by the time we got through security.

So again all in all and excellent flight vith VA.

Roll on the next holiday, and fingers crossed it'll be VS PE or UC.

L2H

Thanks for the return TR[y]

It is well noted that the airside facilities as LAS are lacking and therefore your ability to have some more time at the Hotel was a bonus[:w]

Seems like the rest of us here that once you have got the taste for the premium cabins there is no tirning back[}:)]

She probably wasn't leaving to become trapeze artist, maybe not even leaving. Most likely referred to something that happened downroute, crew have done it before just to liven the atmosphere up and have a good flight (never thought of a Trapeze Artist... glamour model though! [}:)]) It gives the crewmember lots of unwanted attention anyway! Also look out for Happy Birthday PA's, my sister loves them, certainly makes their face drop...

Maybe she was the one on her last flight and in high spirits ?

It's either something they put in the crew meals or that wonderful flair we all possess. [;)]

I'm glad you enjoyed your flight [8D] - Mr L2H should have asked for another meal!
