So at last off we were to a a wedding in London...was going to be hectic 4 days...

Online check-in was a breeze, upgrades not available because of the light load, flying on G-VATL, so the older seats were not that bad...my wife immediately took the 4 middle rows...take off was delayed by almost 1 hr..no idea why..all pax were on board..cargo was in...who knows

Take off was smooth, first time on a 600 and was very impressed, lovely and quite...V-Port is amazing, the only hicup i can see is that the remote is in the arm rest..so a lot of false 'call the attendant' chimes were heard, they have fixed this with the new seats as the remotes are in the seat back...

The captain was very quick to put on the fasten safety belt sign with the slightest shudder...and immediately the crew came running out with the their torches making sure everyone was secure.

Seat 54A was fine and no complaints..I did however sit in 54D and when the front seat reclined it was very claustrophobic

Landing was uneventful and very professional

------

Check in was again smooth, again no upgrades because of the light load, she actually said there were more people in PE and UC than in Y

Was pleasantly surprised to see the the bird we were flying was born in feb 2007...could not see the name

Aircraft was immaculate..everyone in Y was was seated in the aft, because of balance..thats how light the load was....it was announced that everyone must stay in their assigned seat until the seat belt sign went off, after that we could choose our own seat until landing, at that point we had to go back to our own.

Was seated in 55H&K and wow what a improvement...the reclining system is really comfortable, however for it really to work the person in front should also recline...

Take off was once again late....even though everything was closed and sealed..no explanation given...but because of that take off slot was lost and another 50min was lost waiting behind 18 odd aircraft...

I did see a China Air behind us, who somehow overtook us on a parallel
taxi way....its opposite the new terminal that is being built...effectively he overtook 3 aircraft and jumped the queue...not sure how that works.

Anyway..after takeoff the lights were turned off I went to a completely empty forward section and got me some 4 seater's...

The crew were efficient and friendly, and once again the captain was very quick with the seat belt button and so were the crew, but the turbulence never exceeded a shudder....

One more thing, you would think that immigration would put some extra staff when more flights arrive at one time at Heathrow...I don't mind waiting but 1h10 mins is a bit ridiculous, especially when you see the EU passport staff just twiddling their thumbs...all 4 of them

Thats it...quite nice to compare old with new...new being a definite improvement...we even had socks in our pack...

apologies for grammar etc

Glad that you got to enjoy the new seats - G-VBUG is the newest in the fleet so is still shiny and lovely!
