V-Flyer

Well this was our first paid service in Upper Class and of course I hoped it would be just as special as my first in Jan this year. We flew down the night before on BA and stayed at the Hilton.

We checked in at 0600hrs because we had friends coming on holiday with us but they were travelling in Economy and we wanted to meet up and toddle off to the CH together. Check in was a breeze and the CH was as friendly as everyone on here has described. Our friends really enjoyed the CH experience.

The flight was uneventful until we asked the FSM was it ok to show our friends the UC section he duly agreed, as a curtosy to other passengers we kept the time to 10 mins and they duly left, but a passenenger showed his distain to this with a lot of hurrumps.

The passenger in question was IMOHO thought he was a class above, so myself and my wife gave him a nice rendition of Mama Mia which was a tad loud to discomfort him further[:D]. Sorry to the other passengers but we apoligised to some of them on our return leg.

Soup of the Day

Chicken Breast stuffed with spinach and Feta

Steak and Mushroom Pie

Yorkshire pudding with Broccoli & Stilton

Cheese board

Rhubarb Mousse

I intended taking photos of the Steak and Mushroom pie but it was not on my plate long enough[:)].

We were arriving into MBJ 20 mins early but only to be held up by 2 woman who decided that they wanted to abuse the CC, so we had to wait for the Jamacian Police to escort them off the plane which took a lot of time ,which then in turn allowed 3 other planes to land thus the queues were massive at immigration.

We however had a nice surpise as a car was waiting for us for a private transfer to our sandals hotel which happened to be one and a half hours away. I must say we had booked a Z ticket so i was not expecting a transfer but it was duly accepted. My return journey will be put on tommrow which turned out to be more exciting as we had to divert to Bermuda.

Overall a great flight.

Glad you enjoyed the LGW CH and that the flight overall was a good experience. A nice pleasant surprise at the other end too with the private car.

Thanks for the report[y],here must be something about Jamaica flights,on the BA short hop KIN-MBJ a lot of years back we witnessed a full blow fist fight take place spilling over from the back into the front cabin,quite a sight,should have sussed when security staff boarded for the short trip at KIN.
