Check In:
Considering we had both checked in on line and completed all the paperwork prior to arrival at the check in desk, we were surprised to find the process was no different from a normal check in! We were happy though as we were on our way quite quickly, and the check in lady was friendly.
Security:
Again no problem really, quite quickly through and off to the lounge for tea and toast.
The boarding was the same as last time, bit of a scrum to get on board, but not too bad.
Once on Board:
Shown to our seats by the crew, who were very friendly and attentive, drinks were served as we settled in, and we were up and away in no time.
Food:
Ah well! this is the only moan I have, the food (fish, potatoes, spinach) was not very nice at all and nothing else touched my button. The afternoon tea sandwiches were hard, but edible. The best food was the scone & cream, heaven!

Arrival into MCO was on time, although the departure from the flight was a bit mixed, there seemed to be a scramble for the door.

US Customs & Bag Claim:
Customs were friendly and efficient and we seemed to breeze through. The Bag claim was a little less straight forward however, claim your bags, put it back on the carousel after clearing customs hall, get the bags back at carousel 8A Terminal A, which is quite a stroll from where you want to be really, unless you are hiring a car on the day or departing from the Airport, we were staying the night at the Hyatt, so a bit of a struggle for an old fart like me as my wife went direct to the hotel to check us in (She does not walk well).
Overall:
What a pleasure to get such a great crew, not just in UC, but ALL of the crew I and my Wife came into contact with on this trip were great, happy and very attentive.
The FSM was a hard working, caring lady who besides looking after the passengers was also happy to muck in with her crew mates.
We are lucky to be able to travel in UC, but that does not make us any better people than anyone else, and this crew were down to earth and very happy, the BEST yet! ****** was excellent in UC, lovely friendly happy lady. Virgin has the odd stuffy crew member, but it also has the Best in the Business. Thank you very much guys, keep up the good work, see you on our return to Manx in May. Thanks you for a job well done & Congratulations on 25years.

Thank you so much for this Gerry. After reading Mrs B's Trip Report for 27 March I was worried about our next flight in UC but you have set my mind at rest. Just hope we get the same crew!

Nice report, Gerry. Unfortunately I have had to remove the cabin crew's name as forum rules do not allow them to be used without the person's express permission.

Please be aware that that trip was definately an exception, prior to that trip we have always had excellent service in UC.

I will be posting the return of that trip tomorrow or wednesday when things return to normal after the school holidays and i've caught up on some work - but it was the BEST flight we have ever had, our crew were amazing.

Thanks for the TR!

One tip for next time:
The Hyatt will collect your bags and deliver them to your room.
Go straight to check-in and let them wait by the carousel.
Alternatively you can take your bags straight up to the AGT - its just they will not allow trolleys - you now don't have to use the second carousel system.

Thanks for the tip Bill, I did ask when I got to Reception and she confirmed what you have said. Many thanks again.
