This is my first attempt at a TR so apologies if it is not as complete as others.

Myself and Mrs.T were taking our belated honeymoon. We got married in January but with one thing and another (mostly organising children) we had to wait to go away.

Anyway we arrived at LHR T3 in plenty of time after a smooth run down from Gloucestershire. We made our own way as we were on Z tickets having used MPM.
I had used OLCI so went straight to the UC checkin to drop the bags. All done quickly and efficiently and then into the lift to use the UC security channel. No hand written CH invitation though, as I have read others got.
Anyway security was quick and arrived at the CH. Bit of a queue as there were a group of lads who were trying to get in as they apparently had UC friends travelling with them. Did not see them in the lounge so they must not have been successful.

A few minutes and we were in the comfort of the CH.
Dropped the hand luggage with the concierge and headed for the brasserie for some lunch.
Service was excellent as was the food.
From here we headed to the Cowshed for pre booked treaments, a shave for me and a massage for my lady.
Again very good and prompt service.
After this I did a little bit of work on my laptop using the free wifi and my wife had a play on one of the laptops available at the Deli.
We had a couple of drinks, and saw Danny Cipriani, then it was time to board.
It was my wife's first UC trip and she loved the cabin.
We were in 11k and 12k which made it a little difficult to chat to each other during takeoff etc but it was not a major issue.
All of the crew were excellent with the FSM making a special effort to come and make sure everything was ok and wishing us a good honeymoon.
The cabin was about 2/3 full so we took dinner on a spare seat opposite and sat facing each other with me on the ottoman. Very nice!

I then settled down to grab a couple of hours sleep and my wife watched a movie.
All of the systems were working fine but the right hand side wall on my capsule was a bit loose and it looked a bit 'tired'.
The trip literally flew by and before we knew it we were coming in to land.
The crew let all of the UC passengers off first which meant we got to immigration first so were through quite quickly.
In addition all of the UC bags were on the carousel first and we were out of the airport 35 mins after landing.
Not bad...

Downside for me is that my wife has said she now wants to fly UC all of the time.

I will try and post a TR for the return asap.

Nice to hear it all did what it said on the tin. Thanks for a fine trip report! Intrigued by the concept of organising children... 'I say we go for one of each - what colour eyes do you fancy'?

Both myself and Mrs. T have been married previously so have what some term as 'baggage'!!!

Between us we have 4 children, 2 x 8 year olds and 2 x 11 year olds.
Her 2 live with us and my 2 about a mile away with their mum.
I get good regular unrestricted access so we have a busy household!!!

Hope that clarifies...

Really good to read that your UC flight went well. Hope you had a great time on your honeymoon!

Oh dear, so many have made the turn right only to find that you can never go back. A costly mistake! [}:)]

Dominic,

Surely you mean turn left ?

Or do you mean Turn right at L1, and never go to the back of the plane ?

Thanks Mark, I meant LEFT! Not having a good day today. Already left a client on hold and forgot they were there this morning. The only right I like doing is at L1! [}:)]

Thanks for the TR, glad everything went well and it was a good start to your honeymoon.

As Dom has said, you now know the *real* cost of flying up front, never wanting to go down back again. Don't panic though, it's amazing what you can do with some miles and some very knowledgeable V-Flyers.

Thank for the TR. Partners deserve to be let in on the secret but don't EVER take the children- we did once and even though they are adults now they still insist on coming away with us! I wonder why?!!!

No need to worry, you first TR more than conveyed your excitement of your trip.

The fact that it was your honeymoon makes it all the more special and good that neither of you were disappointed with the service along the way[y][y]

weren't a bunch of V-Flyers looking for a comp entry were they[:w]

Thanks once again and I hope the rest of your honeymoon went as well as your flight
