Time to leave the sunshine state. Had a less eventful journey back to MCO with no lightning or tornados and with only one traffic jam to stress in.

Checked in at UC and had present for the wonderful girl [:X] who helped me so much on my last visit through but sadly she wasn't on duty so had to leave it for her. However everyone else at check in was just as friendly as usual [:D][y].

Security was fine and in no time we were in the Delta Crown Room. It was the quietest I have ever known it which was great so we had seats by a window. There was also more variety of snacks on offer than usual too...for some reason I love the plastic cheese!! I had the most unusual Cosmopolitan made for me at the bar with no resemblance to the real thing except for the vodka and lime [?]. We were called on time for the flight and took the guided tour to the gate so we were first on the plane.

Upstairs to the bubble and it quickly filled up. The last man on struggling with the hugest 2 cabin bags I've seen in a long time which he tried against advice to desperately get into the over head lockers. That kept myself and the crew entertained for a while before they had to wrestle them off him[:o)]. He wasn't happy!! I asked how come he had so much stuff and they said because he has a gold card. For some reason I never knew that I could take more cabin baggage in PE with my gold card [?].

The safety demo video froze so the crew had to do a manual demo. After take off the FSM came and introduced herself to me offered the basket of extras for the UC amenity kit and said that I was welcome to come down to UC for a drink at the bar which was a bit of a shock as that has never been offered to me before in PE [:0]. She then said that there would be no pre meal drinks service but would myself and Miss S like a glass of champagne brought up. YES PLEASE [:D][^]a bit embarrassing but hey I'm not saying no [:w].

I decided not to take up the offer to go downstairs as I felt uncomfortable with the idea but bag guy did....frequently.

We were given our first choice of meal but neither of us could eat it [:$] but luckily we had bought crisps and a tuna wrap at the airport which were delicious. This was all washed down with more glasses of champs delivered up from downstairs [y].

Miss S then slept but I watched two films and quietly chatted to CC at the galley. It was my first PE night flight in years and I have decided that I am totally spoilt as I could not get comfy at all [:I].

Declined breakfast offerings and we landed 30mins early to an empty South Terminal.

It was a great flight with the kindest FSM ever. The CC's all seemed to respond well to her and the service ran smoothly and efficeintly with a good sense of humour. When I was waiting on the stairs to disembark I heard many Y pax saying what a happy flight it had been.

Ooops, VS food [:$] again!

BUT, what a superb FSM, I hope you have commended her? I really believed that cabin crew who make an effort with Au's were becoming an urban myth! I hope this signals a strong effort on VS's part to deliver small things that work wonders ... [:?]

Don't worry I will be contacting VS about her and my last couple of flights as I have been having exceptional service lately both at the aiport and on board[^]

Now if only they could get the LGW fleet itself to match the superb staff[:w]

I am usually quick to complain so I need to do the same for praise[:D]

Great to see the excellent customer service standards of the VS ground team at MCO was carried through to on board[y]

Didn't have to rely on that mad cab driver this time round[;)]

Thanks for yet another enthraling TR

What sterling service and a nice touch from the FSM with the invite to the bar. Maybe VS are starting to recognise their Gold Card holders after all.
