Since there aren't many economy class trip reports and also on VS011 to BOS so here is just a quick one. Arrived at Purple Parking at around half 11 and off onto their shuttle bus heading to Terminal 3. I was at T3 by midday and the economy check-in was quite busy. I have already completed online check-in and decided to use my Silver FC status to check-in at a Premium Economy desk. I was the next person and it went very smoothly and quickly. Went through security which was average queuing and straight through to departure lounge. A gate wasn't assigned until 1335hrs so loitered around the shops for abit. The screen then flashes to proceed to gate 19 for VS011. I arrived at the gate and boarding already started. G-VNAP (Sleeping Beauty) was parked at the gate to take me to BOS. Took my seat at my usual 62C and my OH in 62A. During the flight I found out my seat reclined automatically even without pressing the button so that was abit annoying. Took off on time and first drinks service was served within 1 hour after take off. During the whole flight for some reason on our aisle the carts serving drinks or food was very slow compared to the other aisle. Lunch was served approximately 2 hours after take off. On offer were Chicken with Leek, Beef Stew with Rice or Fish with Pasta. By the time it reached us, all choices were gone apart from the beef and my OH doesn't eat beef. The cabin crew had no other choices to offer but he did came back with a different dish he found in the galley but my OH politely refused since the cabin crew doesn't even know what the dish was. Oh and I didn't get my Gu puds on my tray and didn't bother to ask for one. Have to say this doesn't happen very often on my flights where meal choices were ran out. Choc ice cream was served approx 5 hours into the flight. A choice of Gu Brownie or cookies were served approx 1.5 hours from landing. Landed into Logan on time after 7 hours and through immigration within half hour bearing in mind I was practically last in the immigration queue. Took the free shuttle bus to Airport T station and used the T to Prudential.

Thanks for this and hope you enjoy Acela Express - it doesn't reach max speed very much but is a very comfy train!

Thanks for your TR, its seems to me that the cc had lost the passion for there job when they turned up with a random meal with no knowledge of what it could be?

cheers

Thank you for the TR, sadly meals being unavailable or just missed off seems to be happening far too much to be unplanned.

In these days of H&S I'm surprised there isn't a protocol for ensuring all meals are logged and tracked in case there is a problem.

Thanks for comments. I have to apologise for the lack of paragraphs in my report which I have just realised. I will blame it on jet lag being up at 5am and using a public computer in the hotel lobby first thing on my first day.

I'm off to whale watching now.
